Ella Wishart's illustrious stint at Tenterfield High School, both academically and athletically, is drawing to a close as she completes her secondary studies this year.

The current school captain's sporting prowess has been recognised by the North West School Sports Association with the Olympic Change-Maker Award for 2020.

She was the age champion each year for swimming and she consistently broke school records in the freestyle, backstroke and butterfly events. Ella also been the athletics champion each year and has broken existing records in the discus, and been named Sportsperson of the Year each year.
In addition she has represented Tenterfield High School in basketball, netball and cricket. Ella has also represented the North West Region at both the PSSA and CHS carnivals in athletics (2012-2019), swimming (2011-2019) and cricket (2017).
She currently holds the North West SSA records for the senior discus with a throw of 32.36 metres (2014) and the 15 years discus with a throw of 36.83m (2017). Ella has consistently placed in the top eight in the discus at the CHS Athletics Championships.
Ella is also a keen participant in a range of community sports, an exemplary student and a very positive role model for other students, always demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship at all times.
