Helpers to gather up litter and rubbish are asked to meet on Tenterfield Creek below the Tenterfield Bowls Club at 9am, for a creek-side cleanup that will continue until 1pm.

OzFish Tenterfield will provide bags, gloves, sanitiser, sunscreen and more, and promises it will be a fun undertaking for the whole family.
"All you need to do is come down, roll up your sleeves and Step Up To Clean Up," OzFish's Michael Davey said.
Participants are asked to register online for free at www.cleanup.org.au.
Cleanup Day Australia organisers say that with COVID-19 restrictions easing there has never been a better time to tackle the surge in single-use disposable items such as takeaway coffee cups, food packaging, masks and sanitised wipes; all of which have polluted local parks, bushland, streets, waterways and beaches.
Their research reveals that 34 per cent of Australian households self-identified as producing more packaging waste during lockdown periods compared to previous years, and more than 55 per cent reported they are now more concerned about product packaging waste than they were in 2019 Chairperson Pip Kiernan said now is the time for all Australians to Step Up to Clean Up, to help protect and conserve local environments.
