Parks & Gardens crews have been busy along Tenterfield Creek, clearing up the footpath and removing debris while trying to stay on top of the rapidly-growing grassed areas

Walkers are warned to be aware of the damage to the Tenterfield Creek footbridge crossing which is currently closed. The bridge components were damaged by major floodwater and debris and will be repaired as soon as resources become available from other critical response works across the road network.
Council's road infrastructure staff have been assessing damage to the network across the shire and currently the following road closures/restrictions are in place:
- Mole River Road CLOSED to all traffic - Bridge over Mole River (emergency Bridge works being undertaken)
- Pyes Creek Road - CLOSED Local traffic only - dangerous road conditions, scours & washouts due to heavy rainfall event
- Silent Grove Road - CLOSED Local traffic only - dangerous road conditions, scours & washouts due to heavy rainfall event
- Bruxner Way - CAUTION Bridge over bridge near Black Creek - detour side track in place due to bridge damage
"In any event, motorists are encouraged to check the My Road Info website prior to planning their journey. Information is updated as it becomes available," Mayor Peter Petty said.
"All roads in the shire are subject to damage after the recent rain event so please drive to the conditions and exercise caution."
