The rescue helicopter is now more than $14,000 better off thanks to Ray White Tenterfield's Helifarmer initiative at its weaner cattle sale last month.

While donations were received on the day, vendors were also invited to donate a beast whose sale proceeds would also be added to the coffers.

Ben Sharpe and his team from Ray White then matched all of these proceeds to arrive at the healthy $14,075.16 donation.

Mr Sharpe is a past patient of the rescue helicopter having taken a tumble from the gantry at the saleyards and required air transportation.

"It was a significant achievement by everyone who contributed on sales day through the donation of livestock or a percentage of their sales," the rescue service's Zeke Huish said.

Mr Sharpe is keen to continue the Helifarmer initiative with hopes of another great outcome next year, so primary producers may want to identify a donation prospect in the lead-up.
