Written and developed in Nundle, the show is directed by Gwenda Blackwell and will be brought to audiences across the region by Arts North West.
Soonchild said she looked forward to inhabiting multiple characters for the production.
"Sadie's journey is one of adversity and strength revealing the moral compass that guides her conscience. She has true grit.
"I'm lucky enough to have special guest musician John Krsulja performing as the opening act for the show. I've seen John in rehearsals and he is bringing something super special to the evening."
The show will see Golden Guitar winning artist Johnn Krsulja perform a blend of folk, rock and country in his pre-show set.
Arts North West tour coordinator Michael Burke said it was important to keep performing arts alive.
"We've all endured the pandemic with strict limits on the performing arts," Mr Burge said.
"It's heartening that we have now reached a time when venues can play to full capacity, although it's critical that COVID-safe operations continue."
The Shootin' Sadie tour is headed to the Poetry Hall of Fame in Guyra on April 22, Currububula on April 23, Kelvin Hall on April 24, Yetman hall on April 29, Deepwater School of Arts on April 30, Uralla Central School on May 1 and ends in the Old Church in Tenterfield on May 2.
