The small, single-engine plane landed just after 2pm on Wednesday at Collaroy Beach with ambulance, police and firefighting crews rushing to the scene.
"A male and a female in their 40s were assessed by paramedics but not transported to hospital," a NSW Ambulance spokesman said.
The plane landed on the beach, north of The Collaroy hotel, and a NSW Surf Life Saving vehicle is currently attempting to tow the stricken plane further north along the sand.
There's reports of crowds of people on the beach watching.
At this stage there is no further information about what happened to the plane before it made the emergency beach landing.
More to come.
