In round three, the Tigers couldn't get past the Warwick Cowboys despite leading 10-8 at half-time.
"Poor execution" and "decision making" led to the Tigers not postings another point and eventually went down 26-10
Saturday's home game against Inglewood saw the Tigers turn the tables.
The Tigers managed to land a 36-10 victory against the Roosters.
Coach David Landers said it was a better effort than the week before.
"Better organisation, less dropped ball," he said.
"Denyon Rhodes [had a] successful return from injury with some bone rattling defence.
"He was well supported by all the forwards."
Landers also applauded Tyler Sargeant's effort with the boot, kicking six goals from six attempts.
He said the Tigers' defence was good but lamented a lapse towards the back end of the match which allowed Inglewood to cross.
The Tigers will head to Warwick this Saturday for a top-of-the-table clash
"We picked up a couple of minor injuries this week but we have a couple of players to return to fill these spots."
In the league tag, after a bye in round three, it was points galore for the Tigers women against Inglewood.
Tenterfield managed to romp home for a 64-nil win against the Roosters.
Shay and Megg Landers each posted hat-tricks while Phoebe Cooper, Tash Spillane and Grace Clothier scoring doubles.
While they kept their opponents to nil, Tigers secretary Kym Landers praised the side's attack.
"Our attack was much better this week," she said.
"This is what we have been working on at training.
"Happy with this week's efforts."
She highlighted Tash Spillane's work during the match.
"Tash Spillane scored two tries and ran the ball well," Landers said.
