The club applied for a grant from the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR) to support the program, hearing of its success at the end of April.
That left a short turnaround time to convert its application into the e-vouchers, which were distributed last week.
"It means around $37,000 will be spent within our shire, helping parents with costs of winter clothing or stationery supplies," Lions president Lisa Dalton said.
Ms Dalton said club members were really pleased to receive the grant, allowing them to assist students and families within the shire.
"We've been through the ringer over the last couple of years, and I hope this is just a small way of letting the wider community know we are all in this together."
Families have three years in which to redeem the e-vouchers, but they are urged to use them as soon as possible so that they don't go astray. Lost vouchers cannot be replaced.
The FRRR is keen to hear how the assistance helped. It 's a not-for-profit organisation connecting funding from government, business and philanthropy with the local needs of rural people and places.
