Around 60 riders took on the hacking, sporting and showjumping events at Tenterfield Showground with the local pony club hosting the first interclub event for the season.
Despite its delayed start, Tenterfield Pony Club was happy with the turnout after there was a rush to get things organised once restrictions were lifted.
The southern end of Zone 13 also saw competition with Uralla hosting their interclub on Sunday.
The season is just warming up with Inverell and Bundarra interclubs this Saturday and Sunday.
The following weekend will see two days of competition at Guyra Showground with Guyra and Armidale hosting their competitions.
