A feature-length film will showcase around 20 short stories from Tenterfield's past to tie in with 150th anniversary celebrations.
"What I've done is put together about 20 stories, each of them are about three to six minutes long, some of them deal with the work or iconic figures from those 150 years," Peter Harris, who created the film, said.
The film, dubbed Glimpses of a Resilient Community, aims to share those captured moments of history.

He said one example was the road named for Robert Brush in the 1930s after he planted a number of trees which adorn the roadside.

Another is on gold mining in the 1870s and the techniques used to move water and dig channels through the gold fields.
Mr Harris said he was excited to digitise and preserve pieces of history, particularly some of the local Aboriginal history.
"There are aspects of it that disappear over time - for instance there are some very rare marked trees that have messages on them, but unfortunately they won't last forever," he said.
"Aunty Dolly [Jerome] showed me a tree with a very stern face carved into it," which indicated the border between the Ngarabal and Kamilaroi Nations.
"That's one of the reasons I've put it together is this film has historic significance, it could be seen by tourists for years to come and it's a way of preserving this history," Mr Harris said.
He said the film was a way of helping preserve that history of 150 years of Tenterfield, but also share it with broader audiences, that may not take a deep dive into a history book at the library.
Mr Harris said he was able to take around 20 minutes of the film to be shown during the toned down celebrations and plaque unveiling recently, with the full release to be screened at the cinema twice in January.
"I'm looking forward to it," Mr Harris said. "Multiple screenings allows people to come and relax and have a cup of coffee, it will be a special celebration with a nice relaxing feel at the cinema.
"Hopefully people will enjoy it and discover a little more of our history."
The two screenings will be on January 22 running at 10.30am and again at 12.30pm.
Bookings are essential on 6736 6100.
