NSW accumulated 286 new Coronavirus cases on Saturday with NSW Health reporting one new death due to the virus. There are now 15 cases of the Omicron variant reported with more cases likely to be reported later today.

The Omicron cases are based in Sydney with on confirmed case in Canberra.
NSW health have reported one person has died of COVID-19 in the 24-hours leading up to 8pm on Saturday night. There are currently 148 people in hospital and 26 people in Intensive Care Units across NSW.

On Sunday Prime Minister Scott Morrison and federal health minister, Greg Hunt, announced the COVID-19 vaccines to start for Aussie children aged five to 11.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has declared the Pfizer vaccine is safe and effective for children in this age group. The TGA is still reviewing the Moderna vaccine for six to 11 year-olds.
Almost 95 per cent of NSW people aged 16 and over have had one dose of the vaccine, and 92.8 per cent of people have had two doses of the vaccine. In the 12-15 year-old age bracket, 81.4 per cent of people have had one dose of a vaccine and 77.2 per cent have had two doses.

- 45 are from the Sydney LHD
- Nine from the Nepean Blue Mountains LHD
- Eight are from the Central Coast LHD
- Seven are from the Hunter New England LHD
- Eight are from the Central Coast LHD
- Seven are from the Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD.
- Seven are from the Western NSW LHD
- Three are from the Northern NSW LHD
- Two are from the MId-North Coast LHD
- Two are from the Murrimbidgee LHD
- One is from Southern NSW LHD
- Four are unassigned to an LHD
