"These prestigious awards celebrate and recognise excellence across the state amongst Aboriginal students, staff and community members," a spokesperson for the school said.
"This year nominations more than doubled, with only two secondary students being successful in gaining the Outstanding All Round Student Award. A tremendous achievement Malika," the spokesperson said.
She joined eight dedicated teachers, community leaders and schools who were also recognised at the virtual award ceremony held on December 1.
The school said Malika had shown incredible commitment to her studies, while also representing the Indigenous community on the SRC, forming part of the debate team, the Youth Advisory committee and also a volunteer radio presenter.
