Year 9 students at Tenterfield High have blown expectations out of the water in fundraising to buy Christmas gifts for those in need.
The class had been challenged by Year Advisor Ashley Pitkin to help families experiencing financial hardship, and the 57 students developed their own fundraising ideas.

Mr Pitkin said the school was blown away by the level of effort the students showed and the response they garnered.
Further supporting the region, the funds raised were used to buy presents locally and support business in the area.
An incredible array of gifts were then wrapped and handed over to the Tenterfield Social Development Committee.
"We are very proud of our kids," Mr Pitkin said, adding that the students had shown tremendous levels of generosity and empathy.
The TSDC aim to assist families, youth and children in Tenterfield to achieve greater independence, self-reliance and dignified wellbeing, for the benefit of the individuals involved and for their communities.
