Crowds were out in force in Tenterfield to commemorate Anzac Day this year.
After two previous years of COVID interrupted and impacted Anzac Day ceremonies, people returned to the dawn service this morning, outside Memorial Hall, to celebrate the Anzac spirit and remember those whose lives have been lost in service to their country.
Later on, the march made its way down Rouse Street, before the Anzac Day service outside the hall.
This year marks the first time since 2001 that Anzac Day has been commemorated in Australia without the Defence Force being involved in any active operations.
The last Australian troops were pulled out of Afghanistan last year, having been there since 2001.
