River of Life: Only one place to find true freedom

Sadly we have given up some of these hard won freedoms as we move to a more inclusive society.

Free speak seems to be one of the casualties that has been or is being lost. While we don't support 'Hate Speech' let's differentiate between this and a difference of opinion.

When we only hear one side of a view it is not normality possible to form a valid understanding as we don't have all the information. As they say "there are two sides to every story" but their might be three, yours, mine and the truth.

Trump coined the term FAKE news. And yes there is fake information everywhere. Always has been, but this misinformation has been a growth industry of recent times. So many voices. Which ones are truthful?

Truth seems be the causality in this war and yes I use this war term deliberately as we are in a battle for the truth. Elon Musk recently purchased Twitter. He refers to this social platform as the town square of days gone by. He says that the purchase is not for monetary gain but rather to protect free speech. If that is true then all power to him. He wants the algorithms that filter the content to be open sourced and not hidden so all can make a judgement for the reasons some are censored on this platform.

Jesus made the bold statement that He is the truth. He also warned us not to be deceived. And as for freedom, according to him, we can only find true freedom in him. He said that if he sets us free then we would be free indeed. He warned us that as he rolls up his plans before his return many more freedoms will be given up or lost as a result of what is coming.

While we need to strive to maintain the freedoms that our Anzac's have won for us through their sacrifice at the end of the day there is only one place to find true freedom - in him so if we are wise we will run to this freedom giver today.
