Police hope to arrest two more people over the death of Simone Strobel in Lismore in NSW, in 2005, following charges of murder laid against a 42-year-old man.

Police said they knew the whereabouts of the two people in Germany and if extradited to Australia, would face charges of being an accessory after the fact in regards to the murder, and perverting the course of justice.
Supt Tanner said the two people were known to Simone Strobel.

He said the the 42-year-old man, Tobias Friedrich Moran (formerly Suckfuell), will face court in Sydney today, charged with the murder of Simone Strobel and acting with intent to pervert the course of justice.
The arrest warrant was issued on the back of a body of evidence that police say includes DNA.
Mr Toole made special mention of the lead detective in the case, David Mackie, who was present on the day Simone went missing and was there on Tuesday morning when Tobias Moran was arrested in Western Australia.
Supt Tanner said the $1 million reward did not bring forward information that led to the arrest, but was still offered.

Ms Strobel was killed in Lismore in February, 2005.
She was staying at the Lismore Tourist Caravan park with her boyfriend Tobias Suckfuell (now Moran), his sister Katrin Suckfuell, and friend Jens Martin.
Ms Strobel's body was found less than 100m from her campsite on February 17, 2005.
