Held every two years, the Bavarian Beerfest is a celebration of traditional German music, beer and food.
With the band playing traditional and modern music, the night is about dancing, German food, including bratwurst and sauerkraut, and German beer and schnapps.
While tickets have sold out for the Saturday night Beerfest, there are still plenty of opportunities to hear the band play throughout the week.
The festivities begin with a civic welcome at the Tenterfield School of Arts on March 1, at 11am.
Tenterfield Shire Council Mayor Peter Petty will officially welcome the band to the town.
Members of the public are welcome to this free event.
Thursday night is the Brass Band Concert, a great night of music played by the Bavarian Brass Band.
The concert will be held at the School of Arts Theatre and starts at 7.30pm.
A limited number of tickets are still available at $20 each.
There is a free community event for Seniors Week on Saturday morning, which includes a market, starting at 8am and live entertainment from 9am.
The band will be playing from 10am. Bring along a picnic rug and chairs.
On March 5, from 10.30am, the band will be playing in the rotunda at Jubilee Park.
This replaces the usual Schubert Mass, which had to be cancelled.
Other events throughout the week include “The 3 Big Bs” concert on Friday night, featuring music from Beethoven, Bahman and Bach, a wine tour and Sunday lunch at Arrajay Downs.
A limited number of tickets are still available for these events.
The Bavarian Music Festival and Beerfest is now in its ninth year.
It is organised by the Rotary Club of Tenterfield and the Town Partnerships Committee.
