Tigers Jake Adams, Ethan Moore, Brendan Minns and Adam McIntosh played in the Stanthorpe team at the round robin, where Tigers club president Minns said Inglewood won its games in convincing style. Last season’s premiers have lost a few players but gained new ones who are quite strong.
McIntosh was named a reserve in the rep side, while the other three gained selection along with Nathan Dearden on past form.
Minns said everything is still positive that the Tigers will field a strong team in the season proper, which for Tenterfield doesn’t start until a home game on May 6 after receiving a bye in the opening round on April 22.
The club has 18 players signed. Minns said it was just unfortunate that work and family commitments had prevented the Tigers from participating as a club in the pre-season run.
