Boorook snake-bite victim transported by helicopter to Lismore

A 30-year-old man was recovered by the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter on Wednesday evening, January 10 from a remote property at Boorook, east of Tenterfield after being bitten by a red belly black snake.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter landed at a nearby road intersection to gain access to the patient who was transported by road to a more suitable landing site.

The man was flown to Lismore Base Hospital where his condition is reported as stable.
