For the third time in three years, Tenterfield bowlers travelled to Tannymorel and won the Tannymorel Open Fours Carnival.
The Fours team from Tenterfield Bowling Club showed good form to defeat teams from Warwick, Urbenville and Tannymorel to capture the winner’s prize. The Tenterfield team showed patience and restraint to maintain their composure and their perfect record at Tannymorel. It’s easy to see why players came from all over New England and even a team from Mt. Crosby in Brisbane, to contest the carnival.
Skip Neville Richardson said ‘Best on Rink’ was our number 2 Graeme Warner who overcame a debilitating back injury to set up the win for the team. Everyone contributed but Graeme struck golden form today to set up our win. By travelling to these carnivals we make great friends and of course, we encourage all teams to reciprocate at our Tenterfield carnivals.
The next Tenterfield carnival is the Sexton & Green Triples on Sunday, 10 June.
