Roads and Maritime Services said the road closures will provide safe access for an Anzac Day parade and remembrance ceremony.
“An Anzac Day ceremony will be held in Tenterfield from 10.15am to 11.15am,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.
“The New England Highway will be closed from Manners to Molesworth streets to allow this to take place.”
“Traffic is expected to be very busy on Anzac Day as it is the start of a long weekend at the end of the New South Wales school holidays.”
Motorists should expect delays during this time and are asked to show respect for this significant event.
Roads and Maritime appreciates the patience of motorists during closures for the memorial services.
Cars and motorcycles can use local roads to detour around the road closure. Heavy vehicles will be required to park.
Temporary traffic controllers and local police will be on site to direct traffic and in the interests of safety, motorists are asked to follow all traffic directions.
