It is a special effort, deserving a special award as only 12 women are selected in NSW per year to be recognised for this achievement.
Prior to joining at a young age, Mrs Stubbings attended RSL meetings with her mother, Lorna Whitney, inspiring her to follow in her footsteps and thus Mrs Stubbings joined the Urbenville RSL sub Branch. In her many years of service she has held positions as Assistant Secretary and is the Secretary to this present day.
Over the years she has helped with ANZAC Day lunches, street stalls, raffles and fundraising, and attending meetings at Urbenville and other towns, also attending Services on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
