Remembering fallen officers
This year’s Police Remembrance Day service for the New England command will be held in Tenterfield after Mayor Peter Petty put up his hand last year to bring the event here.
The special day is held at the end of September each year, when police and other emergency services pause to remember officers killed in the line of duty.
Local school captains will gather with police representatives, other dignitaries and members of the public at ChristChurch Anglican Church on Friday, September 28 at 11am, for the service.
