For this, she has been recognised as a semi-finalist for the Freemasons NSW and ACT Community Service Award.
The award is one of seven set to be divvied out at the impending NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards.
She was also shortlisted for the First National Real Estate Leadership Award but just missed the finalist cut.
More than 300 guests from across the state are expected to come together to celebrate the states young achievers on April 1 at the awards gala.
Keely said she’s looking forward to the ceremony.
“I’m just pretty excited I get to go to Sydney for it,” she said.
“It should be really good. I’m not 100 per cent sure how I’ll go but I’m just lucky to make the semi’s.”
Keely was a recent Women in Public Affairs winner and a member of the 2016 YMCA Youth Parliament.
Within the Tenterfield community she’s involved in several community events including as head organiser of Youth Week, a supporter for the Movember Campaign, an ambassador for the Red Cross Calling, member of the Tenterfield Show Society and a volunteer at Tenterfield Social Development Committee.
She has been a keen advocate for the Salvation Army, the walk against domestic violence, Tenterfield Visitor Information Centre and in 2016 has been rewarded by being given the role of Tenterfield High School captain.
She’s also picked up countless awards and acknowledgements for her endeavours on the sporting field.
Keely said her main aim in life “is to get involved and meet as many people as possible by taking up the opportunities around her”.
“I try take up any opportunity I can,” she said.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner at SMC Conference and Function Centre in Sydney on Friday, April 1.
