The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School Rugby League team won its game against Tamworth South State School 32-10 on Monday, making the team the North West champions.

Trainer/League Safe Geoff Swan said the students played very well as a team.
“Their defence was exceptional,” he said.

On their way to being named regional champions, they defeated Glen Innes (20-10), Guyra Central (24-12), Newling (28-4) and Warialda (34-4) before overcoming Tamworth South.
They now take on North Coast champions Westlawn (based in Grafton) this Friday, August 18, at noon on home turf.
Mr Swan said he has high expectation for the team, and expects it to do well.
He thanked all the supporters and hoped to see many along for Friday’s showdown.
