The school holidays are upon us and there’s a choice of activities for those who enjoy getting away from the computer screen and getting active.
The Tenterfield Pool is now open from 10am to 6pm each day, for some watery fun. Hopefully the weather will be cooperative.
The ChristChurch Anglican Church has begun its run of Holiday Kids Clubs for kindergarten to year 6, operating Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (October 2, 3 and 4) from 9.30am to noon in the church hall. There was a good rollup to the first club with a mix of activities including craft, outdoor games and a puppet show.
It only costs a gold coin donation, and food and drink is included.
KCL Family Day Care catering for 3 to 13 year-olds has a packed calendar of daily activities, and Centrelink childcare subsidies apply to fees. Each day is themed, so it could be science and slime, BYO wheels, or water play.
The second week of the school holidays KCL is doing daily excursions, to Stanthorpe for pizza in the park, Granite Belt Christmas Farm, Happy Pig Farm, and the cinema on successive days. Calls Kylie at KCL on 0438 472 104 for more information.
Tenterfield Community Playgroup is visiting Arrajay Downs Farm next Friday morning, October 12 with older siblings welcome. A farm tour and morning tea costs $10 for adults and $5 for children over five. Call Melissa Blum on 0423 459 582 by October 5 if you’re interested in going along.
The Tenterfield Cinema is screen the animated film Duck, Duck, Goose throughout the holidays. Catch it on Thursday, October 4 at 1pm, on Sunday at 11am, or Tuesday or Wednesday at 1pm.
Show Dogs is screening Wednesday, October 3 and Monday, October 8 at 10.30am. Round off the school holidays by catching the Tenterfield premiere of Christopher Robin on Thursday, October 11 at 1pm, or the next day on Friday also at 1pm.
