Greater Northern Tigers region manager, Scott Bone, advises all teenagers in the Group 4, 19 and 21 competition areas that trials for the Under 18 and Under 16 squads will be held at a venue to be decided shortly.
“If you were born in 2001, 2002 or 2003 and you wish to attend the trials, these will be held on Saturday, October 27 (Under 18s) and Sunday, October 28 (U16),” he said.
“Player’s trialling must be a registered player within the Greater Northern Region (Groups 4, 19 and 21) or be prepared to be registered within the region.”
If selected in the 2018-19 squads, Bone advised, “players will be required to attend training and camps from November through until March”.
“The 2018-2019 Greater Northern Tigers squads for the 2019 Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cup Competitions will be selected from the chosen Representative program,” he said.
“These competitions will commence in February and conclude in April.”
If prospective players wish to trial they should complete an Application to Trial form found on the Greater Northern Tigers site.
They need to apply by Thursday, October 25 and they need to have a valid email address so further information can be sent about the trials.
“If unable to trial on the day, players can still register and then email reasons as to why they are unable to trial.
“If this is due to a medical reason, they will also be required to provide details of the injury, the date hey will be able to train from and the date they may be able to do contact work,” Bone added.
For any further information on the trial, please contact Craig MacLeod (0428 076732) or cmacleod@crlnsw.com.au or email sbone@crlnsw.com.au.
