The floorboards of Bolivia Hall will be bouncing under the dancing feet of revellers come Saturday, November 10 as the Tenterfield Anglican Church puts on an old-fashioned bush dance to take people’s minds off the drought.
Armidale band, the oddly-named Patterson’s Curse, will be providing the entertainment.

Reverend John Cooper said the evening isn’t a fundraiser, but rather giving the community an opportunity to escape their drought woes for a night and lift their spirits.
“It’s a night out when you don’t have to put your hand in your pocket,” he said.
“Everyone’s welcome. We’re all affected by the drought in the community. Whether you’re a farmer or a business, all are doing it tough.”
The whole family is encouraged to come along. Festivities begin with a barbecue from 6.30pm before the band starts up at 7.30pm, rolling on until around 9.30pm.
The aim of to have a relaxed, fun evening, even if it’s sitting around having a chat and watching the moves on the dance floor.
“We’re not all dancers,” Rev. Cooper conceded.
