Heading into the encounter, coach Megg Landers had 10 players available, one short of the number allowed on the field.
She managed to scrape together a team and not only did they claim the 24-16 win, Landers described it as their best effort this season.
"They played so good, the best I have seen them play this year," she said.
"Our defence is really coming together now, our defence was really good on the weekend.
"Our attack was good as well but our defence won us the game.
"Everyone worked for each other."
MORE NEWS FROM AROUND GROUP 19:
Bingara landed the first blow but the Tenterfield girls pulled together.
Landers had trouble picking a standout player with the whole team gelling.
"I wasn't very confident when we first ran on because they scored a try in the first five minutes but we worked so good together," she said.
"I couldn't even pick a players' player.
"Bre Field was pretty marked but Phoebe Cooper had a really good game, she was awesome and Shay [Landers] and Megan Fuller.
"They had awesome games.
"Megan is the best ball player, she is really good.
"She is very experienced and just lifts the girls, very positive.
"All the girls just played awesome."
The Tigers head to Warialda this Saturday and Landers is already concerned about having enough players to take the field.
"It is just commitment for us, that is our biggest thing," she said.
"This weekend coming I am not even sure because the girls aren't committed which sucks.
"I just want the girls to turn up to training because I can't work on anything with no girls.
"It seems to be the same eight girls that come to training."
In the men's match which followed, the Tigers rocketed out to a 10-nil lead but a lapse late in the first-half proved costly as they eventually went down 32-20.
Coach Jake Kelly believes it was their game for the taking.
"We came out in the first 10 minutes and we were leading 10-nil," he said.
"We won the second-half on points as well but it was just a 10 to 15 minute period in the first-half we weren't with it."
It doesn't get any easier for Tenterfield with a trip away to face the undefeated Warialda Wombats.
Kelly said they can't afford to switch off at all.
"I am sure they will capitalise if you give them any field position or piggybacks," he said.
"They seem to be a pretty handy side with the players they have picked up.
"They will definitely be strong."
In even worse news for the Tigers, centre Josh Lucas and backrower Brendan Blaker both suffered knee injuries and won't be available to play against the Wombats.
"We have to see how they recover but they both had pretty swollen knees straight after the game so that is usually not a good indication," Kelly said.
"We have already got Jarrod McIntosh out as well.
"He tore the tendons in his ankle."
