Last Saturday night 65 guests, past and present Rotarians and friends celebrated 75 years of Rotary Tenterfield at the Golf Club.
Keith Butler was emcee and the evening ran smoothly.
Hilarious entertainment by our two most respectable members Geoff Sullivan and Ralph Manser; music and dancing thanks to the club's newest member Rhonda Wallace.
Giana Saccon had prepared an amazing scrolling slide show featuring back to the charter of the club and district governor Jeff Egan and Kaileen gave out boxes of chocolates to thank those who had worked so hard.
The cake, by Border Cakes, was cut by the club's two newest members Barry Grimes and Rhonda Wallace.
"Our thanks to Dean, Danny and the wonderful staff for a delicious three course dinner," Rotary's publicity officer Jacqueline Plaice said.
Past District Governor and longtime local Rotarian Harry Bolton delivered jokes and a fine session which more or less fined everyone in the room!
Ralph Manser won the lucky seat prize and the raffle prize of champagne, chocolates and a dinner voucher at the Golf club (kindly donated by Dean) was won by Martin I'Ons of the Lions Club.
Tenterfield Rotary Club president Kevin Rumble presented a cheque for $3500 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter fundraising duo "Dodge" and Margi and the club presented Shauna Bolton with a bouquet and Tenterfield Voucher for her continued support and endless hours of work for the club.
Mayor Bronwyn Petrie was also there and gave an informative history lesson of the town.
"It would be remiss not to thank Bev and her team for the beautiful room decoration. What a wonderful Rotary evening," Jacqueline said.
