Following a recruitment process involving rigorous assessments and interviews, the Councillors of Tenterfield Shire Council have appointed a new Interim Chief Executive.

Glenn Wilcox has been selected to fill the role for a six month period having started on October 16 to finish April 15, 2024.
Mr Wilcox was one of three short-listed candidates who met with a selection panel including Mayor Bronwyn Petrie, councillor Greg Sauer and the acting HR manager.
Mr Wilcox was finalised as the top choice for the role in an extraordinary meeting of council.
He brings over 37 years of local government experience to the position, most recently holding the position of Acting General Manager (interim) at Balranald Shire Council.
Other positions held include Interim GM - New England Weeds Authority, Interim GM at Warren Shire Council, GM - Warren Shire Council, Acting director planning and environment at Lachlan Shire Council, Interim GM - Armidale Regional Council, and several other prominent roles.

"We welcome Glenn Wilcox to our Council, and we look forward to working with him, and utilising his proven expertise to ensure councils sustainability to continue critical service delivery for our community."
