Once you’ve been inspired by Saturday’s Dahlia and Cut Flower Show at Tenterfield Memorial Hall, get along to the open garden of new Tenterfield Horticultural Society members Alma and John Reading to enjoy seasonal blooms in spectalar landscaping.

The Readings’ garden at 246 Bulwer St is open on Sunday, February 25 from 9am to 5pm with a $2 entry fee. Monies raised are being donated to local charities.

The society’s Shirley Lewis said the Readings have a beautiful garden surrounding their magnificent house, featuring a a long sweeping drive, a fountain, and many beautiful trees.

In addition to shows of in-season flowers visitors can also check out the impressive vegetable garden.

“It’s truly a labour of love, and well worth seeing,” Mrs Lewis said.
