It was a case of out of the shed, into the art gallery as members of the Tenterfield Men’s Shed celebrated their first art exhibition on opening night at the Artists’ Collective Studio art gallery on Friday.
The artistic creations of the men (and women) will remain on exhibition at the gallery throughout March. They include a variety of garden art and practical aids created in the metalworking and woodworking shops at the Men’s Shed.
The shed’s capability has been greatly enhanced through the acquisition of $5000 Metalcraft tool kit which allows cold metal to be manipulated in a number of ways. The capacity of the shed is also being expanded with the construction of another shed alongside the existing facility. It’s expected to be open for business by the end of May.
