Other Seniors Week events may have been cancelled due to lack of support but the free concert at the Tenterfield Bowling Club on Friday, April 13 got a lot of feet tapping.
Seniors Week organiser Ted Hartfield said Millrace and Haddington residents came by the busload to join other seniors for an audience of more than 40 to enjoy the musical stylings of Lexie Kemp, performing at the club for the first time.
Mr Hartfield said the song choices were very apt for the audience and greatly enjoyed. Some even took to the dance floor to show off their moves.

Lunch in the Greenview Restaurant also went down well with diners given a choice of dishes.
“Lunch was excellent,” Mr Hartfield said, “and the Bowling Club did a great job.”
While he is new to the organising committee he said old hands had also been impressed with the day.
While a lack of funding curtailed the committee’s promotion of Seniors Week events this year, Mr Hartfield said he will start early next year to promote Seniors Week 2019.
