That's the set-up for a lively, possibly raunchy, night of comedy - slightly blue comedy to chase away the winter blues, so to speak.
Five talented performers from the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival are touring the region. Kevin Kropinyeri, Dane Simpson, Ivan Aristeguieta, Nikki Britton, and Pat McCaffrie will appear at the Tenterfield School of Arts this Wednesday, June 12.

Most of the performers are up-and-comers, but some you may have seen on television. Kropinyeri, the show's MC, is billed as Australia's premier Aboriginal comedy star, with many special guest appearances on TV.
Dane Simpson and Nikki Britton both appeared on ABC's Comedy Up Late. Simpson performed at the Commonwealth Games Festival, while Britton has acted and performed in films and stage shows both here and overseas.
Venezuelan Ivan Aristeguieta starred in his own ABC sitcom, Lost in Pronunciation. Pat McCaffrie writes and presents for comedy shows on Channels 44 and 31, and writes for the ABC's Shaun Micallef's Mad as Hell.
One warning, though: this is not a PG-rated night.
