Tenterfield Physie is honoured to have seven national representatives this year. Six of these girls will be travelling to Sydney Olympic Park this weekend to compete in the national finals after being selected in the top five of their respective age group in the Far North Coast in October. The teachers are so proud of Angela, Adelaide, Addison, Audrey, Jayda and Lara and we know they will represent our town with tremendous performances and great sportsmanship. These girls have each shared their thoughts on being a member of physie and why they love it so much.

Our final representative is Erin Crotty who qualified in the top 30 of her age group in Sydney last weekend. Erin will be performing in the Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House next week. This is the most prestigious competition in the physie calendar and is known as the 'night of nights'. Her teacher Jude Hayne wishes her all the best and hopes she enjoys every minute of this wonderful experience.
Angela Tomkins, 7 years
Angela placed fourth at zone this year at zone, entitling her to perform at her very first Junior Nationals. Angela loves dancing and competing and has been working very hard to achieve her goals. She loves all of her new friends and her physie teachers Jude and Erin. Electric blue is her favourite colour leotard and she will be wearing it this weekend. Angela's smile is infectious her love for physie shines through in her performances.
Adelaide Gutmanis, 8 years
2019 is Adelaide's second time representing Far North Coast Zone at a national level. She was awarded zone champion for the past two years and works very hard to perfect her routines. Adelaide loves physie because it makes you strong and confident. It allows you to make lots of friends and the teachers always make it fun. Her favourite leotard colour is red. Adelaide always listens well in class and is eager to show her teachers what she has been practising at home.
Addison Gibbins, 9 years
Addison was awarded zone champion for the fourth time, allowing her represent Tenterfield Physie at junior nationals four years in a row. Addi loves the road trips with the club and enjoys choosing new her leotard each year. Her favourite leotard colour is black and she also loves performing at interclub, zone and national levels. Addison always performs with determination, accuracy and grace, making her parents and teachers proud.
Audrey Kelly, 10 years
Audrey attacks her practices with everything she has and will represent Tenterfield Physie at Nationals for the third time this year. Audrey loves to make new friends and enjoys performing at competitions. She enjoys class and loves having teachers that are kind and caring. She is proud to wear her yellow leotard because it means happiness and allows her to perform with confidence.
Jayda Hill, 11 years
Jayda works very hard in class and is diligent at perfecting her syllabus, constantly making her teachers proud. She is a seasoned national competitor with this year being her sixth trip to Olympic Park. Jayda loves physie because it keeps you fit and makes you strong, whilst building confidence and allowing you to make new friends. Her favourite leotard colour this year is psycho red and we are confident she will rock the floor on Saturday.
Lara Condrick, 11 years
Lara has qualified to compete at Junior Nationals for the fourth year in a row after placing at her zone competition. She thinks physie is fun and enjoys continually improving her skills. Lara loves wearing pink or electric blue leotards to competitions where she has made many friends from all over Australia. This year Lara began assisting the teachers with the juniors from ages 3 to 8 and has proven to be a valued team member and positive role member for the younger club members.
