Tommy was diagnosed with the life-limiting disease Niemann-Pick Type C in 2018, and the community rallied to support the family.
For this year's Colours for Tommy, each day the children and staff came to Preschool dressed in a different colour. Monday was green, Tuesday was Orange, Wednesday was Red, Thursday was Yellow and finally Friday was rainbow day.
Friday also happened to be Tommy's second birthday so everyone celebrated the occasion with delicious rainbow cupcakes made by director Chloe Daly and even tie-dyed their own shirts.
Each day the children were treated to a variety of colourful food that corresponded with the day's colour. They then had the opportunity to make their own rainbow salad sandwich, wrap or roll for lunch.
The Preschool supplied all food for the children, in return for a donation to be made to go to the Niemann Pick Foundation in honour of Tommy, with a target this year of $1000.
The Preschool is happy to receive donations from the community for this worthy cause.
