Branch manager Gemma Taylor said the bank staff gets to see a lot of the community pass through its doors and it's evident how much Total Care is helping the more-vulnerable, bringing in customers, helping them out with Meals On Wheels and other support initiatives.
"We know how much of an impact Total Care has on the community," Ms Taylor said, "and we're happy to help out."
Tenterfield Total Care's Amanda Mediero said Covid 19 has affected many of the service's clients and their plans for Christmas.
To make the day a bit more special, Total Care is matching the bank's donation to create 40 Christmas hampers including gift cards, gingerbread men, shortbread, bon bons and other favourites.
These will be delivered on Thursday with the help of many willing community members including Ms Taylor representing the bank.
Commonwealth Bank has again pledged to donate $500,000 nationally over the next few months, to recognise organisations that make a difference in the communities in which the bank's employees live and work.
Each branch and customer-facing team has been allocated $500 to donate to causes important to their local community.
