Seniors Week 2021 in Tenterfield is officially underway, with the official opening of the Art of Ageing exhibition at the Tenterfield School of Arts on Thursday, April 15.
In this the second installation of the now-annual exhibition, local photographer Peter Reid has captured our more-mature residents in all their glory in a series of portraits. Tickets for the official opening have closed but the photographs will be available for viewing in the cinema foyer over the following days.
While numbers have also closed for reduced price tickets for Margaret Fulton the Musical (also on at the Tenterfield Cinema, on Thursday night from 7.30pm), regular tickets to the show are available and are eligible for those wishing to redeem their NSW Dine & Discover voucher. Use the 'Dine' voucher for dinner at the Courtyard Cafe and it's a package deal.
Bookings for the Mystery Bus Tour, the Bungalow B&B and Ivy Leaf Chapel Tour, and the lunch and lawn bowls have also closed but there are limited vacancies for the remaining events.
Seniors interested in the Gunimaa Nursery visit on Monday or the Tenterfield Men's Shed opening morning next Thursday should contact Christine Sommerlad on 0414 263 715 or Phyllis Burton on 0413 484 558 for free tickets.
Also contact them for the Nomadland Movie at the Tenterfield Cinema next Wednesday at 1pm (or pay $5 at the door), or phone Emma Page on 0488 214 790 if you're interested in the highly-rated Strength, Mobility and Balance Class at the Old Church next Friday, April 23 from 1-3pm.
