The patient was transferred by road ambulance to a rescue helicopter waiting at Federation Park.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance at 810am this morning, Tuesday, to carry out a urgent Inter Hospital Medical Retrieval from Tenterfield Hospital back to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.

The 50-year-old male patient was suffering a serious cardiac condition and has been stabilised by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team prior to being airlifted direct to Tamworth in a stable condition for further specialist medical treatment.
