The local club draws members from southern Queensland but they haven't been turning up since the lockdowns came into play.
In previous lockdowns, clubs around the region had experienced an increase in membership and Tenterfield was the same.
But Tenterfield Golf Club manager Dean Hines believes since the 2020 lockdowns, membership sign-ups have plateaued.
"We haven't seen any material change in our numbers," he said.
"Probably being the time of year doesn't help, the weekends haven't been fantastic weather-wise.
"Our comp numbers have been the same and through the week we have hardly seen anybody outside of the normal competition."
Hines also believes the numbers haven't increased due to the restrictions only promoting golf being played in groups of two and one person to a buggy.
"You can't have a group of six or eight people and have a great time," he said.
"The circumstances aren't conducive to great big numbers."
Hines said they are still grateful they can still play some form of the sport.
